Teams from Across the Country

Teams arrived from all over the country – from nearby Jaroměř, Náchod, Nová Paka, Vrchlabí, and Litomyšl to more distant clubs such as Benátky nad Jizerou, Litoměřice, Mělník, Kolín, Česká Lípa, and Most. The longest journey was made by HC Vítkovice Ridera from Ostrava.

The tournament kicked off on Wednesday, March 25, with group stages determining the playoff seeding, using a format similar to the Olympic hockey tournament.

Friday Full of Emotions

Friday offered much more than just hockey. The morning “school game” created an unforgettable atmosphere thanks to over 300 children from local schools, who filled the stands with loud support.

Highlights included:

  • Figure skating performance by Thea Mullerová
  • Ceremonial puck drop by children from a special school and children’s home
  • A strong emotional and community-driven experience

Although the home team Jaroměř lost 2:5 to Litoměřice, the experience was unforgettable.
