The Sparx ES300 Pro simplifies regular sharpening of hockey and goalie skates while providing a repeatable result without manually guiding the Grinding Ring. Compared with the standard model, it adds a premium glass-and-steel Pro Base while retaining the lightweight standard base for transportation.

SPARX BEAM included
The SPARX BEAM uses laser technology to check blade edge height and assist with accurate sharpener alignment. It provides clear measurements and works with the Sparx Hockey App to recommend required alignment corrections.
Pro Base and travel base
The sharpener can remain docked on the solid Pro Base at home. Its quick-locking mechanism allows the main unit to be transferred to the lighter standard base by hand when travelling.
Pre-set precision alignment
The machine arrives precisely aligned, allowing you to begin sharpening after setup. The included SPARX BEAM can then be used to verify alignment and check the finished blade edges.
Clear operating controls
The multifunction LCD screen allows users to select the number of sharpening cycles, monitor remaining Grinding Ring life and view operating or safety alerts.
App connectivity
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity link the sharpener with the SPARX BEAM and Sparx Hockey App. The app provides access to ring and filter status, LED customisation and useful notifications.
Technology and construction
SPARX BEAM
The patented Blade Edge Accuracy Measurement device uses laser technology to measure blade edges and sharpener alignment to 1/10,000 of an inch. It functions as both a precise edge checker and an alignment tool.
Premium Pro Base
The Pro Base combines a sturdy steel construction with a glass access door. It provides increased dust capacity, easier cleaning access and threaded side mounting points for compatible accessories.
Automated sharpening movement
The self-centring clamp helps position the blade correctly. The carriage then moves the Grinding Ring along the steel using consistent pressure, travel speed and RPM.
Integrated filtration
A built-in fan and filtration system collect particles generated during sharpening. The electronics notify the user when the filter needs to be replaced.
